I got a text message once that read " Positive thinking isn't wishing for something good to happen. It's knowing that whatever happens is for the best." How many times have we been bent on thinking positively only to revert back to our old mindset when something unfortunate or unpleasant happens instead? For me, it's plain and simple. Accept whatever happens, esp. if it's beyond your control, move ahead and look forward to better things to come.
Positive thinking will help you accomplish things that you never thought likely. However, thinking big is only the first step in realizing your dreams and achieving success. Ideas and dreams are a good start, but they will quickly fizzle out if you do not take action. Below are some steps you can take to add positive thinking into your life. You will be amazed at how quickly things start happening when you do so.
* Take passionate action towards living your life the way you want. Talk is cheap. Action = deposits in the bank of a passionately authentic future. Without action, your dreams are pointless.
* Commit to yourself and your loved ones to create a future you envision. Look deep in your heart and create a life that you dream of, out of love and not out of fear.
* Identify and embrace the idea that every moment is ideal despite of its ending. Just think that no matter how bad a situation may seem, it can always get better. Some good things never last, but neither do bad things.
* Dwell completely in a place of thankfulness. Make do with what you have, right here, right now. Use your talent, skills, and whatever abilities you have and use it for good.
* Keep humor at the forefront of thought, laughing at and with yourself when possible. Smile, though your heart is breaking. Laughter is the best medicine. I believe that no situation is so bad that you can't somehow find a way to laugh.
* Believe that you are the engineer of your fate. Only you set your own limits as to how far you can go or how much you can achieve in a lifetime.
Next time around that you are bogged down by negative thoughts. Take time out and reflect on the good things happening all around. Try to go through all the steps listed. For once, adopt a positive outlook in life. Let your inner light shine through.
